Joanna is available for hire as a choral arranger.  She has enjoyed arranging songs for choirs and vocal ensembles for a number of years.

With many years of experience in singing and choral work, Joanna has a very good understanding of the abilities and limitations of the voice, vocal ranges and how choirs work.  She is also an experienced pianist and accompanist (see Accompanist), able to add appropriate piano accompaniment to choral arrangements if required.

In the last few years, as well as private engagements, Joanna has arranged songs for Dartford Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, the Cardiff Consort (a close-harmony vocal quintet formed in 2015), Sawtry Chorale, Score (an a cappella group at the University of Birmingham) and several church choirs in the Peterborough area.

Joanna attained a 2:1 in her BMus at the University of Birmingham, achieving a First in the Orchestration module, a First in Tonality, a 2:1 in 18th-century Counterpoint and a First in Tonal Harmony and Counterpoint.  She also achieved a 2:1 in her Portfolio of Arrangements for her Master's degree at RWCMD.  She uses music scoring software to produce sheet music to a professional standard.
